Tottenham midfielder Stephen Pienaar suffered a knee injury during training with South Africa yesterday.
The 29 year old suffered the problem going in for a challenge during a practise match in the build up for South Africa’s upcoming match against Egypt.
Scan results cannot reveal the full extent of the injury as of yet.
As reported during the week, Pienaar is set to undergo surgery to cure groin and thigh problems.
