Reading eyeing up Khumalo

Championship outfit Reading FC are reportedly lining-up a move for Tottenham defender Bongani Khumalo.

The 24-year-old South African international is currently back in his homeland for the club’s pre-season tour of the nation.

However, Khumalo is yet to make a first team appearance and, after spending time on loan with Preston North End last season, is willing to allow the former SuperSport United defender leave on loan in order to gain first team football.

Khumalo was being tracked by a number of Championship clubs, along with defending Scottish champions Rangers, but it appears Reading have won the race to secure his signature.

It has been said that the player will wrap up the deal when he returns to England with the Spurs squad next week.
