Ruiz claims Spurs interest

FC Twente striker Bryan Ruiz claims Tottenham are interested in securing his services this summer.

The Costa Rica international is believed to have a £13.75m release clause which has seen interest in the 25-year-old rise in recent weeks.

Manager Harry Redknapp is keen to bolster his strike-force before the close of the window and Ruiz admits he is flattered by interest linking him with a move to White Hart Lane.

“They have approached my agent,” Ruiz said in the Daily Mail.

“I was told about Tottenham’s interest two days ago.

“Spurs are a great club. I’d say that the chance that I’ll leave Twente is 50 per cent.”

Ruiz has scored 33 goals in 61 appearances since he moved to FC Twente from K.A.A. Gent in 2009.
