Tottenham captain Michael Dawson faces a lengthly spell on the sidelines after suffering from an achilles problem.
The England centre-back missed the sides 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday when the problem flared up in training.
However, the full extent has been revealed and Dawson is expected to miss the next two months of the season, meaning he won’t return to first team duties until November, at the earliest.
