Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor admits he is slowly regaining his form following the 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

The Togolese forward has been in impressive form since joining the North London side on loan from Manchester City this summer.

He again performed admirably at the weekend, despite playing with an eye injury for the second half of the fixture, a problem which the former Arsenal striker admits impaired his vision in one eye.

“I’m getting my form back slowly and I think I helped my team to win,” Adebayor told talkSPORT

“Unfortunately the second half was quite difficult because I was playing with only one eye. I couldn’t see the ball, I couldn’t see my opponents or anything but I managed to stay on the pitch for 90 minutes.”

Harry Redknapp has confessed that he would ‘love’ to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis when his loan deal expires at the end of the season, while also praising the striker for his form since his arrival.

“His movement is top-class and he is playing with loads of enthusiasm. He got in some good positions today and we made it nine points out of nine so we are on a good run,” Redknapp said.
