Brilliant Hugo Lloris – The Best And The Worst Rated Tottenham Players From Their Match vs Liverpool

Tottenham and Liverpool could not be separated in their game at Anfield. Spurs were looking to close the gap with Leicester but they fell behind to a Philippe Coutinho goal early in the second half. Harry Kane did score the equaliser but Spurs were unable to get the three points that they so crucially needed.

We look back at the game and list out the player ratings for the Tottenham side:

Hugo Lloris – 8/10

The French goalkeeper was exceptional in the first half with a string of saves. He couldn’t really do much about the goal he conceded and did well in the rest of the game.

Kyle Walker – 6/10

Walker had a good start to the game and did well to keep Coutinho in check but in the second half he was turned inside out far too many times.

Toby Alderweireld – 7/10

Toby had a decent game and wasn’t really troubled a lot by Daniel Sturridge from the Liverpool attack.

Kevin Wimmer – 7/10

The fact that no one is really missing Jan Vertonghen all that much is testament to Wimmer, who again had a decent game for the team from London.

Danny Rose – 7/10

The English left-back had a decent game and barely was threatened by the Liverpool attack.

Mousa Dembele – 6/10

Dembele didn’t really do a lot in the game against Liverpool and went missing a lot of times.

Eric Dier – 6/10

Dier had a great battle in midfield with Emre Can and James Milner, though he didn’t always come out on top, there were instances where he shut down the Liverpool attack.

Son Heung Min – 5/10

We can’t even remember that the South Korean was playing, a rather poor showing by someone who needs to do more if he wants to stay in the club next season.

Dele Alli – 6/10

Dele Alli had an ok game, the only thing to remember was his tussle with Adam Lallana and that is about it.

Christian Eriksen – 7/10

There were glimpses of how good Eriksen can be and his intelligent play setup Harry Kane for the goal but Eriksen couldn’t do more in the game and that would be disappointing for him and Mauricio Pochettino.

Harry Kane – 7/10

The English striker scored his 22nd goal of the season and that was enough to get a point for Spurs. He did have a few chances to test Mignolet but couldn’t beat the Liverpool keeper.

Substitutes:

Nacer Chadli – 6/10

Chadli was the second half substitute for Son and had one good chance to provide Tottenham with the lead but he missed his opportunity and the ball went out for a corner.

Ryan Mason – NA

The youngster was brought on to replace Dele Alli late on but didn’t really have a lot of time to do much on the field.
