A Strong 3-4-2-1 Tottenham XI Could Face Millwall In The FA Cup – Here Are Our Predictions

published :

Tottenham Hotspur

fa-cupTottenham overcame Everton last weekend by 3 goals to 2 in what was a nerve-wracking game of football at White Hart Lane. However, the focus now shifts to The Emirates FA Cup, as they take a shot at yet another trophy this season. The FA Cup is a realistic possibility for Tottenham to add some silverware and they surely wouldn’t want to miss out on it.

There is a good chance of Tottenham winning the FA cup this season and it would be a remarkable achievement as the club are making progress off the pitch with the construction of their new stadium.

They now face Millwall in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this weekend and they will be motivated to finish the game off quickly.

Pochettino would be looking to field a strong line-up for this tie and seal the win to progress into the semi-finals.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur line-up to face Millwall

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Hugo Lloris (GK):

The Tottenham captain is a sure starter and he wouldn’t be dropped for a huge game like the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

Eric Dier (CB):

Tottenham have flourished playing the 3-4-2-1 formation and Dier has looked at peace of late, playing at the back.

Toby Alderweireld (CB):

The Belgian has been a rock at the back for Tottenham and benching him for a big game like this would be suicidal for Pochettino.

Jan Vertonghen (CB):

Tottenham waited so long for Vertonghen to return to fitness and now that he has returned and is playing for Spurs, he would continue playing.

Kyle Walker (RM):

Walker is such a huge figure at Tottenham and his performances have been outstanding this season as always. He is a certain starter.

Mousa Dembele (CM):

Dembele has been the link between Spurs’ defence and attack. He is a huge threat moving forward and does his defensive duties as well. He is the complete package in the middle.

Victor Wanyama (CM):

The partnership of Dembele and Wanyama has worked wonders for Tottenham this season and it might remain the same for the next game as well.

Ben Davies (LM):

Davies reveled in his new role and is beginning to find some form. With Danny Rose still injured, Ben is a sure starter.

Christian Eriksen (CAM):

Who other than the best playmaker in the team? Eriksen has been outstanding for Spurs and he is virtually irremovable from their line-up.

Dele Alli (CAM):

The potential of Dele Alli is well-known and he would be one of the major attacking outlets of Tottenham for sure.

Harry Kane (ST):

Kane is probably the best English striker currently and he is a complete forward. Having him in the team is certain to lift the morale of the players around him.
