Ronald Koeman has given Ross Barkley an ultimatum to sign a new contract within a week at Everton as per reports from BBC. The Dutch manager certainly was not messing about and it seems that the English midfielder could be on his way out of the Merseyside club.
That would mean good news for Tottenham as they have been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old attacking midfielder for some time now. Barkley was subject to an interest in the winter window as well and it seems he is one step closer to making a move to Spurs.
The problem lies with the fact that the Englishman has had a hit and miss season this time around. And Tottenham would hope that they get the best out of Barkley if they do sign him up.
With news filtering in of Koeman’s thoughts on Barkley’s future, Tottenham fans were caught between thoughts about the success of Barkley at the club.
