Tottenham Keen To Sign Ligue 2 Starlet – London Rivals Are Also In The Race

published :

Mauricio Pochettino’s belief in the youth system at Spurs certainly has seen the rise of many starlets in recent seasons. Tottenham now is even seen as a great option for the talented youngsters to enhance their skill and hopefully, get some experience playing for the first team.

So it isn’t a surprise that our club is linked with a French youngster as we look ahead to a new season playing our home games at Wembley.

What is surprising is that we haven’t heard a lot about the player called Mickael Ange Nanizayamo, who plays for Ligue 2 side Tours. The youngster made just three senior appearances for the French side and we aren’t the only club battling it out for his services.

According to French outlet Onze Mondia, claims that the 19-year-old is also a target for Crystal Palace, which again is a big surprise. The report also claims that the two London clubs have scouted the player and are pleased with what they have seen so far.

The youngster still has to see which position suits him best as reports claim he is a defender while some state that he is a forward but if he does move to Spurs, there is very little chance he would be starting games for the first-team next season.

The 19-year-old would spend some time at the academy and then be loaned out to gain some experience in the lower leagues, something that Harry Kane had to go through before he became the incredible striker that he is.

Nanizayamo has a long way to go before he can be termed a Spurs star but it does seem unlikely we would be risking signing a player that not many know about. Then again, we could be wrong as our scouts have been able to unearth a few gems that other teams have missed.

Only time will tell if we are really interested in the player but keeping a tab on Nanizayamo in the coming days should give us an idea of which way the deal goes.
