Tottenham have been dealt another blow in the summer transfer window as reports claim that Adrien Rabiot is ready to join Barcelona.
The report from Sport (h/t football.london) claims that the Spurs target has even agreed to personal teams with the Catalan giants.
Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel is happy to keep the French midfielder at the Ligue 1 club but is willing to let him go as the player enters the final year of his contract.
The report claims that the price for the 23-year-old Frenchman is around €40m, which is a bit of a steal given that Rabiot is a player with a lot of potential.
Rabiot did not have the best of times with the Ligue 1 side despite picking up the title, as he was overlooked by Didier Deschamps for the France national side for the World Cup.
This would not be the best news for Spurs fans as we have been looking to bring new players into the side this summer.
Rabiot would have been an excellent buy as Mauricio Pochettino could have worked with him and made him a better player in the heart of the park. However, Barcelona might have found a quality and young replacement for Paulinho, who left for China.

We really have to sign someone quickly as the Premier League season is about to start in less than a month. Every day we waste in not bringing someone in, our rivals are getting stronger and that won’t be great for us as we look to win a trophy under Poch.
