The Sun reveals that Christian Eriksen is a target for Real Madrid as a possible replacement for Luka Modric. The report adds that Modric is being linked with an exit from Spain and is wanted by Inter Milan.
Eriksen has been one of our top players ever since joining the side from Ajax and the report adds that the player has a couple of years left on his current deal. Tottenham are trying their best to extend the Dane’s stay in London.
The report claims that there has been no agreement on a new contract so far and that could leave the door open for the Spanish giants to swoop in for Eriksen.
Tottenham did not sign any players in the summer window while Real raided Chelsea for Thibaut Courtois on the last day of the Premier League transfer window.
Eriksen leaving us at this stage would be a big blow given that we would not be able to replace the Danish attacker.
The 26-year-old scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists for us in the Premier League last season and is key to our chances of winning silverware under Pochettino.

Tottenham should do everything to ensure the 26-year-old stays at the club for a long time and we must complete the negotiations for a new contract as quickly as possible.
