Tottenham have confirmed that striker Vincent Janssen has undergone a minor foot surgery and that the player is set to be out for a period of time.
A tweet from our club’s official account revealed that the 24-year-old is now set for a period of recovery and rehabilitation which will be overseen by the medical staff at Hotspur Way.
Janssen, who wasn’t included in the club’s pre-season tour of the United States after returning from his loan spell at Fenerbahce, has now taken to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to Tottenham fans after undergoing a surgery on his foot, stating that his operation was successful and that he cannot wait to play for our club.
The Dutch international spent the 2017/18 season on loan with Fenerbahce, but only managed 18 appearances for the Turkish giants, scoring five goals and creating four.
Janssen has now returned to Tottenham as third-choice striker behind Harry Kane and Fernando Llorente. However, it remains to be seen for how long the forward will be on the sidelines after undergoing a successful operation on his foot.
Janssen has two years remaining on his contract and he will be eager to attain full fitness and prove his worth to our gaffer.

It is a shame things didn’t work out well for Janssen in his first season at our club as he managed just six goals. Let’s hope the Dutchman recovers quickly and gets back his mojo, as he can certainly be like a new signing for us this season.
