Christian Eriksen has been one of the best players in the Premier League for a while, and the Dane has been a bargain for Tottenham since joining from Ajax in 2013.

The 26-year-old has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid (h/t Football.london) but has remained a Tottenham man all this time.

Football.london reports that the Dane is contracted to Spurs till 2020, however, there have been talks regarding his extension for a while.

There hasn’t been an official announcement yet and the Dane told Danish site BT (h/t Football.london) about his future:

“I have my agent to take care of it [contract talks] so I can focus on playing football. Then we see in the end where it ends. There have been talks with Tottenham many times.

“I have not felt that they will throw me out yet,” the Dane added with a smile.

The former Ajax star hasn’t been at his best this season due to an abdominal injury he picked up a couple of months ago.

Eriksen only has one goal for Tottenham all season and just nine starts in all competitions. The Dane is a key player for our top four hopes, and chances of picking up a trophy too.

We need to ensure Eriksen remains a Tottenham player for as long as possible, and we have to extend his stay quickly before other clubs come calling.
