Tottenham have had some memorable games at White Hart Lane with a few coming in the Premier League too.
While our new stadium is being constructed, there still are some games that live on for years. One such game was revisited by the Tottenham Twitter account, the 9-1 hammering of Wigan nine years ago.

For newer Spurs fans, this was an exceptional performance that not many saw coming. Peter Crouch got the scoring started in the ninth minute before Jermain Defoe scored a pair of goals to give us a 3-0 lead.
Paul Scharner got a goal back in the 57th minute but Defoe completed his hat-trick gave us a three-goal lead again.
Aaron Lennon got into the act and then Defoe scored a pair too. David Bentley and Niko Kranjcar scored late goals to end the scoring.
This was Tottenham’s biggest win in the top flight and certainly was an afternoon to remember for all. The Spurs Twitter account certainly got a few people talking and here are their reactions from that incredible encounter.

Was daughter’s 2nd ever game – she was 9 years old. She thought all games would be like that afterwards. She’s now a season ticket holder with me
