The North London derby did not go well for Tottenham as we ended up losing 4-2. Spurs actually had taken the lead after an early penalty from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Arsenal came roaring back in the second half.

Eric Dier levelled the scores in the 30th minute before Harry Kane scored a penalty won by Son Heung-min in the 34th minute.

We went into the half-time break with a one-goal lead and should have looked to wrap things up, but things were to take a dramatic turn.

Aubameyang scored a brilliant second goal for himself after the break and efforts from Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira sealed the win for the home side.

Even in the loss, there was something for Tottenham star Kane to celebrate. The Englishman scored his eight Premier League North London derby goal and already is on top of the list tied with former Spurs and Arsenal man Emmanuel Adebayor.

Kane didn’t seem to be at his best last night, and it could have been the effect of playing two tough games prior to this tie at the Emirates.

We defeated Chelsea 3-1 and then Inter Milan 1-0, and our players looked a little leggy in the second half.

This was Kane’s eighth goal of the season and is two behind Aubameyang in the race for the Golden boot.

However, we need the Englishman to be up and ready for our next tie, which is against Southampton on Wednesday.
