Mauricio Pochettino does not believe Barcelona will make things easy for Tottenham in our Champions League tie on Tuesday.
The Catalans have already qualified for the next stage of the competition, while Spurs have to beat the La Liga giants to ensure progress into the knockout stage.
Spurs and Inter Milan are tied on seven points each but we have a better head-to-head record and are above the Italians.
Speaking before the tie Pochettino urged the team to go for the win at the Camp Nou (h/t Daily Mail):
“It will be a massive game, they have qualified for the next stage but in the Champions League no-one is going to give a present.
“We need to win and deserve to win. The mentality is going to be 200 per cent to try to win.
“We are going to arrive in the best condition, Barcelona are one of the best teams in Europe.”
Barcelona could mix things up by resting a few players in the tie but we cannot take the Catalans lightly. They are one of the best sides in the world, and should Lionel Messi play, we have to be careful dealing with the Argentine.
Pochettino knows full well about the La Liga giants having faced them during his spell at rivals Espanyol, and would love to plot their downfall.
Tottenham came off an important 2-0 win over Leicester City at the weekend. We even rested Harry Kane prior to this Champions League clash, giving us a great chance of picking up the win.
