Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has asked the fans to behave responsibly ahead of our North London derby against Arsenal on Wednesday.
Spurs travel to the Emirates for a Carabao Cup clash and will want to erase the memories of the 4-2 defeat handed out to them a few weeks ago.
There was one sour moment in that game where a Tottenham fan had thrown a banana skin at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The supporter was identified and has been banned by the club for his actions, and Pochettino did not want such incidents repeated again (h/t Daily Mail):
“I am completely against this behaviour.
“It’s the worst thing in the world. I don’t care if it is our fans or other fans, I want to kill it. Our responsibility is to behave.”
North London derbies are full of passion, aggression and goals but we need to be careful about taunting the opposition players and supporters.
Spurs know this is a great chance for a trophy, a first under Mauricio Pochettino, and should come with a lot of confidence after our recent form.
