Tottenham are interested in Norwich City right-back Max Aarons, according to the Sun. The report claims that Spurs are willing to bid £15million for the 18-year-old who only made his first-team debut for the Canaries in August.
The right-back has helped Norwich to second in the Championship as they look to gain promotion and has scored a couple of goals and provided three assists from 18 league games.
The report adds that Tottenham have “attended” all of his games this season and are contemplating a formal bid. There is interest from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig too and the report claims Norwich are under no pressure to sell, having already let James Maddison and Josh Murphy leave.
Spurs currently have a trio of first-team right-backs with Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier the senior options. Kyle Walker-Peters has performed well when given a chance this season and the youngster can play as a left-back too.
The Sun adds that our best chance of signing Aarons in the January window is to send him back to Norwich on loan for the remainder of the season.
It is interesting that we are being linked with the young right-back given we have a few options in that position already.
