Tottenham moved to second in the table courtesy of a 3-0 win over Cardiff City thanks to an impressive performance.
First half goals from Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min were enough to deflate the Welsh side, and we could have scored a few more if our finishing was better.
Mauricio Pochettino didn’t make many changes to the team that lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers a few days ago, and it paid dividends in the end.
Our attack did well on the night but there were others that starred too, and here are the player ratings from the clash.
Hugo Lloris – 7/10
The captain did what was needed from him as he kept a clean sheet and had a few saves to make, nothing too difficult on the night.
Kieran Trippier – 7/10
This was a much better night for Trippier as his cross early on caused problems for the Cardiff defence and allowed Kane to score.
Davinson Sanchez – 7/10
There wasn’t much wrong in what Sanchez did on the night, another decent performance from the Colombian.
Toby Alderweireld – 7/10
Toby was great early on snuffing out a few attacks and had a fairly easy game.
Danny Rose – 7/10
The Englishman made an important headed clearance early on and made our defence look good.
Harry Winks – 7/10
The Englishman did his role in the midfield by passing the ball around and helping get a ton of possession.
Moussa Sissoko – 8.5/10
The Frenchman was the Man of the Match against Cardiff as he often broke from midfield and had a hand in two of our goals. Sissoko could have scored too but missed the target.
Christian Eriksen – 8/10
Eriksen scored a wonderful goal against the Welsh side and did a great job on the left of our attack.
Dele Alli – 7/10
The Englishman had a decent game against the Bluebirds and could have gotten a goal and an assist had it not been for some last-ditch defending.
Son Heung-min – 8/10
Son scored yet another goal as he ran all around the park. He will be a big miss once the Asian Cup begins.
Harry Kane – 8/10
The Englishman might have been lucky with his first goal but he helped create the other two as Tottenham ran out easy winners.
Substitutes
Oliver Skipp – 5/10
Got 15 minutes on the pitch as he passed the ball around for fun.
