Tottenham have a couple of tough games coming up with Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and Manchester United in the Premier League.
Spurs have been great in recent weeks and should start both games as favourites, and there could be a minor boost for us against the Red Devils. Ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils have been in great form. They have won every game under the Norwegian and are seeing the best out of some players too.
Paul Pogba was banging goals in for fun but missed out on the FA Cup win over Reading. The Frenchman was nursing an injury and didn’t travel with the United side for their training camp in Dubai (h/t Mirror).
Solskjaer opened up about the Frenchman’s problem but claimed he would join the rest of the players soon (h/t Mirror):
“Paul Pogba has not completely recovered from the knock he sustained against Newcastle and stayed back for treatment.”
It would be great if Pogba misses out on the clash against Tottenham as we would be playing just a few days after a high voltage game against Chelsea.
Tottenham were no match for Tranmere in the FA Cup as we demolished them 7-0, however, Chelsea and United will be sterner tests for the Premier League hopefuls.
United have turned a corner under their new manager but playing at Wembley should give us an advantage.
We beat United 3-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season and if we play to our best ability, a repeat result is more than possible at the weekend.
