Toby Alderweireld praised Belgian teammate Romelu Lukaku ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Wembley on Sunday.

The Red Devils have been transformed under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and have won all their games under the Norwegian manager.

Tottenham are in great form themselves if we forget that loss against Wolves at Wembley, and Alderweireld spoke highly of the United striker.

Our defender spoke about the striker coming back to form after struggling to score in recent games to the Independent (h/t Express):

“He scores so many goals all the time that people get used to it.

“If for a period he does not score or things do not go his way, of course, he plays for a big team in the Premier League so everybody expects a lot of him.

“But he is coming back to form. He is an unbelievable striker. I have played with him in the national team for a couple of years and he is a great person, too.”

Tottenham were brilliant in the earlier meeting between the sides as we swept the Red Devils 3-0 at Old Trafford.

This will be a much tougher test for us given the form that United carry into this game. A win against the Red Devils will give us more confidence for the remainder of the campaign.

We trail Liverpool by six points going into the weekend’s games and come off a great 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

Alderweireld has been our best defender this season, and he has to be at his best to keep Lukaku and United from scoring on Sunday.
