Tottenham scored three goals at Craven Cottage, with one own goal and a late winner in a dramatic London derby. There was no Harry Kane and Fernando Llorente started the game with Spurs playing a 3-4-2-1. The Spaniard opened the scoring in the wrong end.
The former Swansea striker couldn’t react to a corner and gave Fulham a deserved lead in the first half. Tottenham then dominated the game and equalised in the second half via a Dele Alli header.
Spurs kept on pressing and Fulham were trying to hold on but things didn’t look to be going our way. Alli also picked up an injury late in the game and just when the final whistle was about to blow, Harry Winks came up with a header to score the third goal of the game.
The win keeps the pressure on Manchester City and Liverpool, and Spurs will have a bit of a morale boost ahead of the Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea in midweek. This was a deserved win, especially for our second half domination, and here are the player ratings from the game.
Tottenham Player Ratings
Hugo Lloris – 8/10
Lloris kept us in the game in the first half with a couple of quality saves from Ryan Babel. The captain couldn’t do much to stop Llorente’s own goal and even had some issues with his kicking. But it was a quality outing nonetheless.
Jan Vertonghen – 7.5/10
Vertonghen had a decent game at the back and tried to give us an option in the attack during the second half.
Toby Alderweireld – 8/10
The Belgian was possibly the best defender for us against the Cottagers as he more or less kept things out on his side of the pitch.
Davinson Sanchez – 5.5/10
Sanchez didn’t have the greatest of games for Spurs as a part of the back three. The Colombian was tormented by Babel and was saved a couple of times by Lloris and his centre-back partners.
Danny Rose – 7.5/10
Rose kept on producing quality runs down the left as one of our wing-backs and produced several great crosses but no one could convert the chances. The Englishman was also wrongly booked for a dive.
Harry Winks – 8.5/10
Winks was extremely busy in the midfield as he kept the ball well and tried to launch attacks. His control was great and it was difficult for the Fulham midfielders to keep track of him. The Englishman came up with a late header to win it at the death, and it was the perfect ending for him and the team.
Christian Eriksen – 7.5/10
The Dane was one of the better players on the night as he tried to set up a teammate to score. Eriksen did get an assist from Alli’s equaliser in the second half.
Kieran Trippier – 7/10
Trippier wasn’t great going into the opposition box but did have some quality corners as we searched for the winner.
Dele Alli – 7/10
The Englishman scored our equaliser and did a pretty good job of linking up with Llorente. He scored an important header and tried to get another goal. However, the concern would be regarding his hamstring as he had to be subbed later on.
Erik Lamela – 5.5/10
The other player that had a poor game for us, Lamela just could not get going for the side.
Fernando Llorente – 7/10
He isn’t Harry Kane but Llorente could have scored a few tonight. The Spaniard didn’t do a bad job in the attack but his movement was limited and even his heading wasn’t spot on.
Substitutes
Eric Dier – 6/10
It was great to see Dier return to the team, and he did a decent job of adding a presence in the midfield.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou – NA
Provided the cross of the evening in the dying seconds, and that was pretty much it from the Frenchman.
