Mauricio Pochettino comapred the development of his side and comapred that with Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The Argentine has seen several players pick up injuries in recent weeks with Harry Kane and Dele Alli out till March.

Tottenham have done well without dipping into the transfer market, but sit nine points behind Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Reds hold a four-point lead over Manchester City but have been knocked out from both domestic cup competitions.

Tottenham, on the other hand, play Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final and face Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend.

Liverpool are currently training in Dubai as they don’t play till 30 January, and Pochettino highlighted how well his squad had done (h/t Mirror):

“I saw Liverpool is now in Dubai and all the pundits say Liverpool have the best squad with Manchester City.

“We are still involved in four competitions, what happens tomorrow and what happens Sunday (in the FA Cup fourth round at Crystal Palace) I am still happy with my squad.”

Son Heung-min should return in early February once the Asian Cup ends. There is more good news for Spurs with Moussa Sissoko and Lucas Moura nearing fitness as we have several games lined up in the coming weeks.

The Argentine has worked miracles ever since he join Spurs from Southampton, and it will be great if we pick up our first trophy under Pochettino this season.
