Tottenham suffered another injury scare in their Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Spurs came into the second leg with a 1-0 lead but saw themselves 2-0 down after a great start from the Blues.
Fernando Llorente scored in the second half to take the game to penalties before we got knocked out 4-2.
The injury concern came in the first half as Ben Davies had to be replaced by Danny Rose. The Welshman hasn’t been in great form for Tottenham this season with just one assist in all competitions, however, Mauricio Pochettino played down the injury claiming it wasn’t serious.
The Argentine was speaking after the loss and claimed that is was a “small” issue for Davies before adding that he was not worried about the groin injury for the Welshman (h/t Football.london):
“Small injury, Davies, in his groin. It is good that he’s not an offensive players. We have a lot of defensive players so it is good for balance. Four, five or six centre-backs, five full-backs. I am not worried.”
This would come as some relief to the side that has been devastated with injury problems this season. Harry Kane and Dele Alli are the latest players to pick up long-term knocks. The pair should return to the team in March.
Tottenham have also seen the likes of Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura miss out on several games due to injuries.

Davies might not be the most important player in the team but he is a quality squad player. Hopefully, the Welshman returns quickly and can provide competition to Danny Rose for the remainder of the season.
