The Mirror reports that Tottenham are in the market for a young player rather than a big name. The report adds that Jack Clarke of Leeds United is a target for Tottenham and the club hopes to complete the move for the 18-year-old winger before deadline day.
Championship leaders Leeds have made it clear they do not want to sell the youngster in the winter window and even rejected a bid from Crystal Palace for the English starlet, as per the report. Clarke has been decent for Leeds this season with two goals and two assists from 14 Championship games.
The report adds that changes in Tottenham’s team could mean a home signing is likely. Mousa Dembele was sold in the winter window, and Mauricio Pochettino has stated that Juan Foyth would be added to the Champions League squad as an overseas player.
This would mean there is space only for British players in our Champions League squad. Tottenham were the only club not to dip into the summer transfer market, and we are yet to see any incomings in the winter window too.
Our season has unravelled fairly quickly in the past four days, with elimination from the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. Tottenham lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace on Sunday, and our next match sees us play Watford in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Hopefully, we sign someone for the remainder of the season soon and get back to winning ways against the Hornets.
