Spurs news: Tottenham to keep front row of stadium empty for Manchester City clash
The Evening Standard reports that the front rows of the north and south stands of Tottenham’s new home will remain empty for the Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Tottenham host Manchester City in the first leg quarter-final game and the report claims that the two rows will be kept empty due to “concerns over camera placements blocking sight-lines.”
The report adds that the first two rows of both stands behind each goal were left empty for the stadium opener against Crystal Palace.
Tottenham defeated the Eagles 2-0, thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen.
Tottenham to monitor the rows
The club is expected to monitor the front rows in the upcoming clash as they look to open them, according to the report.
It was reported that the 62,062-seater stadium was not up to full capacity due to the rows being left empty and other areas of the ground yet to be opened.
Tottenham saw a great turnout for what was a midweek game, and we should see a similar turnout for this clash too.
City come into the tie with great form under their belt but playing at the new stadium should give us a boost in this clash.
