Marcelo Bielsa claims Jack Clarke will be an important player for Leeds United
The Jack Clarke-Leeds United story took another turn on Thursday as Marcelo Bielsa claimed the Englishman will have a role in the Championship side.
Clarke joined Tottenham in the summer before being loaned back to Leeds. It was expected that the 18-year-old would feature regularly in the first-team and add to his experience.
However, the youngster has only played in the cup competitions for Leeds this season. EFL rules prevent a club from naming more than five loan players in a squad, and Clarke has been missing out on the league games.
Football.london reports that Tottenham could recall the Englishman if things don’t go well for him.
Bielsa was asked about the situation with Clarke on Thursday and claimed that Clarke could play for the side in the future (h/t Football.london):

“He competes with Costa, Hernandez, Harrison. If one of them are left in the team and Clarke is participating after we were going to listen that the news about Costa, Hernandez, Harrison.
“I am satisfied working with Clarke and I am sure he’s going to be necessary and important for us in relation
about the news you were talking about.”
Clarke needs games
Bielsa’s statements should provide some comfort to the Englishman and hopefully, he starts for Leeds soon.
Tottenham should recall the youngster if things don’t workout at Leeds, and it will be interesting to see what happens with the Englishman in the coming weeks.
