Tottenham could be handed extra tickets for Red Star Belgrade clash

Tottenham could receive additional tickets for their home game against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League, according to Serbian outlet Tanjug (h/t Sun).

Spurs opened their Champions League campaign with a 2-2 draw against Olympiakos but should have won the game in Greece.

The away side raced to a 2-0 lead before the Greeks pegged them back to earn a point. Their next game in the group is against Bayern Munich and the Premier League giants take on Red Star later in October.

No away fans for Red Star

The report claims that UEFA have punished the Belgrade side with a one-game ban for supporters. The fans made anti-Albanian chants in a qualifying game against HJK Helsinki.

The Belgrade supporters are set to be banned from attending the fixture in London, and Spurs could receive those extra tickets (h/t Sun).

This isn’t the first time the Serbian fans have fallen foul of UEFA, with the team handed a similar punishment last season when they visited Anfield.

Tottenham need to get a win from their next two games in the group and the clash against Bayern won’t be easy either.

Red Star cannot be taken lightly even at our home ground, however, we should have enough in the tank to get past the Serbians and qualify from the group.
