Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon out of Colchester United tie
Tottenham have confirmed that two players are unavailable for their Carabao Cup clash tonight. Spurs face League Two side Colchester United and will be without the services of Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.
Tottenham’s release added that Sessegnon is being monitored after his hamstring problem while Lo Celso is continuing his on-field rehab after picking up a hip injury during national duty.
The good news for Spurs was that there were no fresh injury concerns, and it will be interesting to see what kind of team Mauricio Pochettino puts out.
Having Sessegnon and Lo Celso for selection would have been great as they need starts after joining us in the summer. However, Spurs need to put up a great performance after their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester City.
Tottenham in a spot of bother
Pochettino’s side had their chances to wrap up the points at the King Power stadium, however, Serge Aurier’s disallowed goal handed Leicester the initiative.
The loss was our second of the season and we now lie 10 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Tottenham should change the team and rest some of the first-team players against the League Two side, and we need to progress to the next round.

Anything less than a win will be a poor outcome and hopefully, we don’t face further injuries against Colchester today.
