Max Allegri prefers joining Manchester United over Tottenham
Former Juventus manager Max Allegri is one of the best free agents available in the market. The Italian left the Italians last season as Maurizio Sarri succeeded the Juve manager. Allegri hasn’t joined a club since then and has been linked with two Premier League jobs.
Manchester United and Tottenham have started this campaign in poor form and Allegri has been linked with both clubs (h/t Daily Star).
However, the Daily Mail (h/t Daily Star) claims that the Italian prefers joining United instead of Tottenham.
The report adds that Allegri wants to build on Sir Alex Ferguson’s legacy, something that the Scot’s successors have failed to do.
Tottenham shouldn’t think of replacing Poch yet
Mauricio Pochettino is still one of the best in the world and we shouldn’t think of replacing him soon. This is his first real poor spell since taking over the role and should be given more time to iron out the issues.
Pochettino needs help from the players too, with most of our stars out of form since the start of the campaign.
Another manager being tipped for the role is Brendan Rodgers (h/t Daily Star), and the former Liverpool man has done a good job with Leicester. However, Pochettino has worked magic with Spurs before and he has the ability to do that again.
The international break gives us some time to think about the problems and find the right solutions.
