Lucas Moura claims no one has shared desire to leave Tottenham
Tottenham have had a far from acceptable start to the season this time around. Mauricio Pochettino’s men were expected to kick on after reaching the Champions League final a few months back.
Spurs also kept hold of most of their stars and brought in some talented fresh faces in the summer.
However, things haven’t worked out for us, with several players out of form. The new faces have been injured and many other stars are free agents at the end of the season. Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen can leave for free in the summer.
Things might not look good for Spurs but Lucas Moura has claimed that no player has shared his desire to leave the club.
The Brazilian hasn’t been consistent this season for Spurs and told ESPN Brasil that the team is together at the moment (h/t Sun):
“Inside the locker room, there’s nothing. The locker room is normal, the atmosphere has always been very good, the group is very united.
“This matter of speculation about any player wanting to quit is hard to answer. I think it’s personal for each one. I know nothing was leaked in the locker room, nobody said anything about wanting to leave. I think the atmosphere is very good.”
Spurs need to get their act together
The latest loss to Liverpool might have come by a one-goal margin, but the Reds bossed us for close to 70 minutes. We had a few chances to extend our lead but didn’t take them, and that cost us in the end.
Our Champions League campaign hasn’t been great either, with one win from three games, and we need to turn things around quickly. Hopefully, Moura’s words are true and the team is together for the upcoming challenges.
