Juventus scout three Tottenham players in loss to Liverpool
Serie A giants Juventus watched three Tottenham stars in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, according to Tuttosport (h/t Calciomercato).
Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min were watched by the Juve scouts while Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was also monitored (h/t Calciomercato).
Eriksen and Alderweireld are free agents at the end of the season while Son has a contract till 2023.
The South Korean was one of the brighter players for Tottenham and was partly responsible for us getting a lead.
His deflected shot was turned into the net by Harry Kane and Son also hit the crossbar in the second half. Alderweireld had to hold fort as Liverpool kept pounding us for an equaliser, while Eriksen had a game to forget.
Time for some departures at Spurs?
Losing any player on a free transfer isn’t the best outcome for a club, and it will be interesting to see if we sell Eriksen and Alderweireld in the winter window.
The Dane has been poor this season and barely has put up a quality performance, while Alderweireld has done his bit but the rest of the team has let him down.
Tottenham cannot afford to lose Son at any cost, and we need to ensure he is not swayed by other European giants.
