Tottenham eye Andre Onana as Hugo Lloris’ replacement
Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana is the top target to replace Hugo Lloris, according to the Sun. The 23-year-old Cameroon keeper helped Ajax reach the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
Tottenham got a close look at Onana during the semifinal and could land the player for the right price (h/t Sun).
Onana could be bought for £30million to £35million, according to the report, and Spurs are monitoring the situation with club captain Hugo Lloris.
The Frenchman dislocated his elbow against Brighton and will be out till 2020. However, Lloris’ time could be up at the end of this season and Spurs are targeting the right man to replace their No.1.
Gazzaniga doing his bit for Spurs
Paulo Gazzaniga stepped up to replace the Frenchman and did a great job in the 2-1 loss to Liverpool. The Argentine made some incredible saves to ensure Spurs went into the lead at half-time.
However, the report claims that it could be too much to ask for the Argentine to remain as the No.1 for a long time.
Tottenham would also have to sell Lloris before buying Onana (h/t Sun) and the Frenchman has made a few mistakes over the years.

Replacing Lloris won’t be easy given his experience and quality, but we have to plan for the future. The French keeper is already 32 and doesn’t have too many top years left in him.
