Tottenham face AC Milan competition for Barcelona’s Carles Alena
Tottenham face competition from AC Milan for Barcelona youngster Carles Alena, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Calciomercato).
The 21-year-old midfielder has only featured in 46 minutes of La Liga football this season. However, he has played five games in the Cope del Rey for the Catalan giants.
Alena broke into the first-team last season but has found regular games hard to come by at the Nou Camp.
The report claims that Tottenham have been linked with the Spaniard in the past and the midfielder will be allowed to leave in January on loan. Tottenham are interested in signing Alena, who is unhappy at the lack of playing time at Barcelona (h/t Calciomercato).
Tottenham’s summer woes
Spurs spent big in the summer to land four players with immense potential. However, most of them haven’t featured regularly. Jack Clarke is finding it tough to play regularly at Leeds United under Marcelo Bielsa.
Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso haven’t started a game for us since joining in the summer. Tanguy Ndombele is a regular for the first-team and has already found the back of the net twice this season.
