Inter Milan sporting director travels to London for Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen talks

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio is interested in a few Premier League stars.

The Daily Mail (h/t Express) claims that Ausilio travelled to London recently in a bid to land Chelsea and Tottenham players.

Olivier Giroud is a winter target for Inter while they are also keen on Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen (h/t Express).

The report claims that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard could allow Giroud to leave, however, Mauricio Pochettino won’t be as easy to deal with.

Eriksen and Vertonghen are free agents in the summer and it will be interesting to see how things develop with them.

The Dane has snubbed all negotiations regarding a new deal at the club, while Vertonghen hasn’t received a good offer from the club (h/t Express).

The pair didn’t start our last game as we were held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield United. Eriksen has scored just two goals in the season and has seen Giovani Lo Celso start in the last two games.

Vertonghen wasn’t in the squad against Sheffield and our centre-back pairing featured Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez.

Tottenham need to make a decision in January

Eriksen and Vertonghen could be sold in the winter window and Spurs could make some money out of the deals. Losing them free would be a blow, and finding replacements won’t be easy either.

Toby Alderweireld is also a free agent at the end of the campaign. The Belgian was on the bench against Sheffield, and it will be interesting to see what happens with him.
