Bayern Munich interested in signing Tottenham’s Troy Parrott
Troy Parrott is a target for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, according to the Daily Mail (h/t ESPN).
The 17-year-old Irish forward hasn’t featured in the Premier League this season but played in the Carabao Cup.
Parrott is one of the brightest talents at Tottenham and has already played for the Irish national side.
It will be interesting to see if the youngster is handed more starts in the coming weeks, especially after Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino.
The report claims that Bayern are monitoring his progress and are set to make a move for him.
Harry Kane is our main striker and it is difficult seeing anyone usurp him from the starting XI any time soon.
Bundesliga a breeding ground for talent
However, the Bundesliga has been a breeding ground for quality English talent in recent years.
Jadon Sancho is the best example as he left Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund. The 19-year-old is now a regular for the England national team.
Jonjoe Kenny is currently on loan at Schalke too but we must do all we can to keep hold of Parrott.
Mourinho’s arrival is certainly going to be a talking point for a while. The Portuguese needs to get us going again, and playing Parrott regularly in the first-team could be an option.
