Tottenham face competition from three Italian clubs for Hakim Ziyech signing
Tottenham remain serious about their interest in Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech, according to Calciomercato.
The Moroccan has been excellent for Ajax over the past few years and is ready to make a move (h/t Calciomercato).
Spurs want the 26-year-old to replace Christian Eriksen, according to the report. The Dane is a free agent in the summer and has struggled for form this season.
Eriksen only has two goals to his name so far this season, but Spurs face a lot of competition for Ziyech’s signature.
Serie A clubs keen on Ziyech
The Moroccan can play in several positions across the midfield and would be an exciting addition to this Spurs team.
However, it will not be easy for Spurs to land the 26-year-old. AS Roma, AC Milan and Napoli are all keen on the Ajax star, according to the report.
Napoli don’t see Ziyech as a priority signing currently, but Roma were close to landing him under Monchi (h/t Calciomercato).
It will be interesting to see what happens to the stars at Spurs after the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese has to get us into shape first and the winter window could be decisive in our hopes of finishing in the top four.
