Danny Mills believes many Premier League clubs could be keen on Victor Wanyama
Victor Wanyama has struggled for game time this season at Tottenham.
The Kenyan last played for us in the 2-1 defeat to Southampton, and only started one game this season.
That was the Carabao Cup defeat at the hands of Colchester and the midfielder could be on the move.
Celtic wanted the 28-year-old and have been linked with a move in January (h/t Express)
Former England defender Danny Mills adds that several clubs could be interested in Wanyama.
Mills was speaking to Football Insider and suggested mid-table Premier League clubs will be keen on the midfielder (h/t Express):
“There’s plenty of clubs that will be interested in his signature, to have that solid defensive midfield player.
“Teams anywhere from seventh down in the Premier League are thinking ‘Oh yes, he can do a job for us’.”
Changes under new manager
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the midfield. Jose Mourinho’s arrival at the club could turn the fortunes of some players, and the new gaffer has already brought Toby Alderweireld back to the starting XI.
Alderweireld started in the win over West Ham United. The Belgian hadn’t featured much in the two weeks prior to this game.
The bench also featured regular starter Moussa Sissoko. However, Eric Dier was back in his midfield slot.
