Tottenham interested in move for AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo
Tottenham are still keen on AS Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo, according to the Express.
The 20-year-old has been great for the Serie A side with five goals from 16 games. Spurs were keen on the attacker under Mauricio Pochettino and are still interested in the Italian even after Jose Mourinho took over (h/t Express).
Spurs seem set to make moves in the winter window to help Mourinho get the season back on track, according to the report.
The new manager saw his team start off the new chapter with a win over West Ham United.
It will be interesting to see if we make major moves in January but Zaniolo could be a replacement for a struggling star.
Italian to replace another creative star?
Zaniolo is capable of playing on either wing and has done as a central attacking midfielder too.
The report claims that the Italian is seen as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.
The Dane has scored just two goals for us all season and was on the bench in the win over West Ham. Mourinho did bring Eriksen off the bench, but the Dane is a free agent in the summer.
Eriksen is unlikely to sign a new deal and extend his stay (h/t Express) and it will be interesting to see if we sell any of our stars in January.
