The Barcelona playmaker is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and has notched up an impressive 7 goals and 7 assists in 22 appearances for the Bundesliga giants. (h/t Whoscored)

Bayern do have an option to sign Coutinho permanently in the summer for £102million. Although the player has spoken of his desire to sign for the Bavarians (h/t Daily Mail), it remains to be seen if Munich will sanction such an amount in the midst of their summer rebuild.

The Brazilian faces an uncertain future at Barcelona and will have to take a decision regarding his future this summer.

Having already signed Antoine Greizmann this season, Barcelona have been linked with a move to bring back Neymar next summer and could try to sell Coutinho to fund his international teammate’s capture.

Coutinho is said to be interested in a return to the Premier League, in case Bayern pass on their option to sign him. (h/t ESPN)

Having already proven his pedigree in the league, Coutinho would prove to be an excellent replacement for Christian Eriksen, whose contract is up in the summer.

With the club once again interested in the player, a lot will depend on us being able to match Barcelona’s valuation. It is unlikely that we will sanction such a price for a player, given our lack of funds. (h/t Guardian)

With Eriksen almost on his way out and Giovani Lo Celso failing to impress, a player of Coutinho’s calibre would add a lot to the attack and is worth considering.

Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in the Brazilian. (h/t ESPN)
