The 20-year-old has impressed during his loan spell, making 19 appearances while scoring 5 goals for the U’s.

Roles scored the winner against Morecambe last Sunday and has also picked up both the PFA League Two player of the month and goal of the month for October.

The midfielder’s loan is set to expire on January 5th and Cambridge are keen to secure an extension. Calderwood has stated that all parties are in favour of the loan being extended and he is hopeful that a deal can be reached (h/t Football London).

It is heartening to see a young player go out on loan and develop and Roles’ contract with Tottenham is set to expire in 2021.
