Tottenham are interested in Kosovan striker Vedat Muriqi

Tottenham have made an offer to sign Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi, according to Turkish journalist Feridun Nigdelioglu. (h/t Football London)

The 25-year-old, who joined the Turkish giants in the summer, has been in prolific form, scoring 11 goals and 3 assists in 17 appearances. (h/t Whoscored)

Muriqi is an ideal centre forward who can hold the ball up well and bring his teammates into play. He is also an aerially dominant striker while being adept at supplying through balls and finishing.

Muriqi’s contract with Fenerbahce runs till 2023 and the Turks will be in a strong position to get the maximum for the striker.

Premier League rivals Burnley are also said to be in contention for the player’s signature (h/t Football London).

Ever since Fernando Llorente departed, Spurs have been short of quality options to back up Harry Kane. Muriqi would prove to be an experienced alternative to the England captain when necessary.
