Longtime fans of the English midfielder, Tottenham were priced out of a move for the player in 2018.
Grealish has had an impressive season in spite of Villa being just 1 point clear of the relegation zone. The midfielder has scored 8 goals and 5 assists in 21 appearances this season. He leads the club’s player charts in both the categories.
Having come through the youth ranks, Grealish is a key player for Villa as they look to stave off relegation. Villans boss Dean Smith has been bullish of the midfielder’s chances of leaving and reiterated his belief that the club will have to keep its best players in order to grow.
“He’s a top player but as I’ve said before, our owners are very ambitious and want to establish us as a top Premier League club.
“To do that you have to keep your best players, so we’ll be keeping hold of Jack Grealish. People can keep looking but they can’t touch.”
Grealish can play anywhere in the midfield and would have brought drive and energy to the Spurs team.
