Tottenham Hotspur have agreed on a deal worth an initial €30million for PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn. (h/t Guardian)
The deal also involves a further €2 million in add-ons, which are somewhat easily attainable.
The deal has been confirmed by the PSV general manager, Toon Gerbrands. PSV will not attempt to replace the outgoing winger with Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt.
Although predominantly starting on the left, Bergwijn is a versatile attacker who can play anywhere across the front line and has won three Eredivisie titles at Eindhoven.
Midfielder Christian Eriksen is on the verge of completing his move to Inter Milan for €20 million.
He was also nominated as the UEFA European Under-17 Championship Golden boy in 2014. He has so far won 7 caps for the Dutch national team.

Bergwijn is an excellent player and has every chance of being selected in the Dutch squad for Euro 2020. Suffice to say, we have gotten ourselves a player with excellent potential.
The signing could well be a bargain in the coming years if Jose Mourinho can coax the best out of him.
