The 20-year-old is a local player who has come up through the ranks since joining from BC Bliesheim in 2012. He made his debut for 1.FC Koln II in 2017 and went on to make 28 appearances for the second-string side.
He has thrived since his debut for the senior side this season against TSG Hoffenheim. He has gone on to make nine appearances for the Die Geißböcke and has already scored two goals. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The versatile youngster can play at both left-back and left-midfield. With Ryan Sessegnon also able to do the same, Mourinho could use both players in tandem on the left flank as both can slot in for the other. A promising talent, Jakobs also won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for December.
The defender’s contract at the Bundesliga side runs until 2022 and is tipped for a bright future. (h/t Daily Mail)
