Harvey White signs new Tottenham contract till 2023
Tottenham Hotspur youngster Harvey White has signed a new contract at the club which runs until 2023, according to Tottenhamhotspur.com.
The versatile 18-year-old is a defensive midfielder who can also play at centre-back and the left-back positions if required. The youngster featured for the first-team during International Champions Cup and Audi Cup fixtures. He made two appearances, featuring as a substitute against both Juventus and Manchester United.
A regular in the Tottenham Under-19s, he has played all six of Tottenham’s UEFA Youth League fixtures, scoring one goal in the 9-2 demolishing of Red Star Belgrade. Unfortunately, Spurs only finished third behind Bayern Munich and Red Stat Belgrade and dropped out in the group stages.
The midfielder earned rave reviews for his performance in the Under-18 clash against Southampton last year and looks to be one to watch out for. He is said to be a confident player whose ability on the ball is eye-catching.
White has made 12 appearances in the Premier League 2 this season and has contributed to the goals and two assists. He has also represented Spurs in the Leasing.com trophy and the FA Youth Cup, scoring and assisting once in the former.
He also seems to have a knack for taking set-pieces. Apart from scoring against Galatasaray from the penalty spot, he scored a late free-kick at Portsmouth on his EFL Trophy debut in November 2018.
