Harry Kane impressed by six-year-old Tottenham fan supporting NHS staff
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been left heavily impressed by a young fan who has been supporting the NHS staff in these difficult times (h/t itv).
Six-year-old Lenny Hall, who is a Tottenham fan, has been supporting NHS staff by preparing dinners for them as the country tackles the coronavirus pandemic (h/t itv).
Lenny has made more than 200 dinners for nurses at the Epsom Hospital, after learning that they were struggling to buy food due to people stockpiling. The six-year-old took up a challenge to make as many dinners as the number of goals scored by Harry Kane for Tottenham and England (h/t itv).
This incredible act from the young fan caught Kane’s attention. And the England captain responded on social media, thanking Lenny for his ‘amazing’ gesture, while also taking the opportunity to thank the NHS staff who are at the frontline in this battle against the coronavirus pandemic (h/t itv).
Here’s what our star striker had to say:
Hi Daisy I’ve seen Lenny’s Kane-ing challenge and it’s amazing. An incredible gesture to NHS staff who are real heroes dealing with the current situation. Would be great if you could please show Lenny this message to thank him for his support & everything he’s done. Thanks Harry. https://t.co/IH2GamyHw6 pic.twitter.com/3LApND646n

Kane, so far, has scored 181 goals for Tottenham and another 32 for the England national team, making it a total of 213 goals. So, young Lenny may have to make a few extra meals to match up to the striker’s tally and complete his “Kane-ing challenge” (h/t itv).
Needless to say, it is an incredible gesture from Lenny, helping out the real heroes in times of need. Kudos Lenny!
