Danny Rose donates £19,000 to hospital for fight against coronavirus

Danny Rose has made a generous donation to North Middlesex Hospital and has praised the staff as the real heroes as the world battles the coronavirus pandemic, reports the Daily Mail.

Rose, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United from Tottenham, had made the contribution anonymously, leaving the North Middlesex Hospital confused over the identity of their mystery donor.

After some investigation, the hospital learned that it was Rose who had made the generous donation and revealed that they were bowled over by the Englishman’s actions (h/t Daily Mail).

Rose then recorded a video in which he thanked the staff at the hospital and everyone else who is on the frontline in the battle against the deadly virus. He said (h/t Daily Mail):

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you’re doing. I wanted to say, on behalf of all my colleagues, that you are the heroes.”

Rose also revealed the reason behind him choosing to donate to that particular hospital as he had been treated at the facility on a couple of occasions when he was with our club. The England left-back also stressed the importance of people following the guidelines and rules set by the government (h/t Daily Mail).
