Tottenham star Serge Aurier trains with Moussa Sissoko breaking lockdown rules
Tottenham star Serge Aurier posted a video on his social media account, in which he can be seen training together with teammate Moussa Sissoko during the lockdown (h/t Football.london).
The Ivory Coast international posted a series of videos on his Instagram story of himselfand Sissoko training and sitting together. He can be seen wearing a mask and maintaining social distance with Sissoko in the first video.
However, in later videos, Aurier is seen sitting next to the Frenchman, after which later the two Tottenham players sprint alongside each other before turning around. This is in direct breach of government rules during the lockdown enforced in the country.
You can see the video below (h/t Football.London).
It is not the first instance of our players getting involved in breaches of lockdown guidelines. Ryan Sessegnon and Davinson Sanchez were seen jogging together in a park. On the same day, our manager Jose Mourinho conducted an outdoor training session with midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Following these incidents, the club had reprimanded the players and the manager and reminded of their responsibilities during these times. However, seems like it hasn’t Aurier hasn’t learned from his teammates’ mistakes earlier this month.
A club spokesman told Football.london: “We shall be speaking to both players involved.”
Aurier has since gone on to delete the videos from his Instagram account. But this does not paint the player or the club in a good light.
