Paulo Gazzaniga not dwelling on Harry Kane future
In an interview with ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga has revealed that he is not dwelling on the future of Spurs ace Harry Kane.
The 26-year-old striker had been linked with a £200m move to domestic rivals Manchester United.
In spite of other European giants such as Juventus and Real Madrid also expressing their interest, Gazzaniga believes that Kane is still a vital cog in the Spurs project (h/t ESPN).
He admitted that they are happy with the player who has won the team many points with his goals over the years (h/t ESPN).
“He is always very important for us. We are only thinking of him as a Tottenham player. We’re not thinking of him being at another team.”
Having joined the club in 2004, Kane progressed through the ranks, eventually making his first-team bow in 2011. He has gone from strength to strength and is today considered as one of the best strikers in world football.
However, his personal rise is yet to be mirrored at a collective level. A two-time Premier League Golden Boot winner who also topped the scoring charts at the 2018 World Cup for England, Kane is yet to win a single piece of silverware with Tottenham.
Speaking on the issue last month, he shocked Spurs fans by refusing to commit his future to the club. Furthermore, Kane revealed that he is open to a move away if it helps him win trophies.
